As the academic year comes to a close, we are excited to celebrate several accomplishments and milestones achieved by members of our lab/research group over the past year.

Tuğçe Yalçın, our lab member and a PhD candidate in the Anthropology Department, has been selected for a PhD Fellowship at ANAMED (Research Center for Anatolian Civilizations) to pursue her dissertation project, “Tracing Hoof Marks: Deer Hunting Strategies and Practices in Bronze

One of our doctoral students, Sarieh Amiribeirami, has completed the oral component of the comprehensive exam. Following this milestone, Sarieh will now proceed to the next stage of her research: Dissertation Prospectus Defense. 

Tuğçe Yalçın, a PhD candidate from the University of Georgia and a member of the Quaternary Isotope Paleoecology Lab, has been awarded the "Janis Steingruber Award" and "Outstanding Teaching Award from the CTL."
