Stable Isotopes in Zooarchaeology Working Group Meeting

The first meeting of the Stable Isotopes in Zooarchaeology Working Group (SIZWG) will take place 3-5 March 2016 here at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, USA. The call for paper and poster abstracts is currently open until December 15, 2015. Information about abstract submission, registration, and travel and accommodation is available on the conference website

The Stable Isotopes in Zooarchaeology working group is part of the International Council for Archaeozoology and currently has about 100 members. You can join the group listserv or visit the group website for more information. Lab director Suzanne Pilaar Birch and Dr. Catherine West, Assistant Professor and Zooarchaeology Lab Director at Boston University are the group coordinators.

UGA is an idea venue to host the first official meeting of the group, and attendees will have the chance to visit the Center for Applied Isotope Studies and the Zooarchaeology Laboratory at the Georgia Museum of Natural History, which houses over 4,000 specimens in its comparative collection.
